At the end of an unprecedented odyssey, 73 families from the Polish-Ukrainian border region of Volhynia ended up in Mecklenburg at the end of World War II.
After a path full of uncertainty and suffering, the Wolhynian Germans settled the former domain of Linstow in 1945 and continue to shape the face of the village to this day.
